The Municipal Health Office, under the direct supervision of the Municipal Health Officer (MHO) and in accordance with the Local Government Code of 1991 (RA 7160), is responsible for:
Directing and administering the local health service: Supervising the personnel and staff of the office, and formulating implementation guidelines and rules for its operations (Rural Health Unit and Barangay Health Stations).
Developing and implementing local health programs: Formulating and implementing policies, plans, programs, and projects to promote the health of the community.
Enforcing public health laws: Executing and enforcing laws, ordinances, and regulations related to public health, including the Sanitary Code, and directing the sanitary inspection of food and business establishments.
Disaster Response: Being in the frontline of health services delivery, particularly during and in the aftermath of man-made and natural disasters and calamities.
Advising Local Officials: Providing technical assistance and support to the Mayor and the Sangguniang Bayan (Municipal Council) on all health-related matters.
The objectives of the Municipal Health Office are focused on comprehensive health care, moving beyond mere curative services to prioritize prevention and community wellness:

| Health Education and Promotion | Conduct health information campaigns and community outreach programs to promote health consciousness, healthy lifestyles, and educate the public on disease prevention. |
