Top Coastal Attractions
Alcantara boasts some of the most serene and unspoiled beaches on Tablas Island.
1. Aglicay Beach Resort
- Description: The most well-known attraction, featuring a long stretch of white sand fringed by palm trees, and clear, turquoise waters. The area is enclosed in a cove, offering a picturesque and calm atmosphere.
- Key Features: It has a resort that provides amenities, a viewpoint accessible via a short hike (for a fantastic view of the cove and sea), and is known for its rich marine life.
- Location: Barangay Comod-Om.
2. Binay-we Beach
- Description: A smaller, secluded cove with fine white sand that remains calm throughout the year. It is partly shielded from public view by huge boulders, offering a sense of quiet privacy.
- Location: Approximately 1.2 km from the town proper (Poblacion).
3. Calagonsao Beach
- Description: A distinctive beach located right beside the national highway. It features a pebble-covered shoreline but with a sandy ocean floor that drops abruptly, providing an excellent diving spot near a cluster of jutting boulders.
- Location: Barangay Calagonsao.
4. Tugdan Beach
- Description:A wide, pebble-covered shoreline with calm waters and a deep ocean floor. This beach is easily accessible as it is located near the Tablas Airport.

1. Wall's View
- Description:A fantastic viewing deck nestled in the mountains, offering panoramic vistas of the surrounding seas and mountainous landscapes. It requires a bit of hiking along hard trails, making it popular among health and fitness enthusiasts.
- Location: Barangay Camili.
2. Mt. Ope
- Description:A hiking destination popularly known to locals. From the summit or viewpoints, visitors can see the expansive beauty of Alcantara and the rest of the island.
- Location: Barangay Madalag.
3. Natural Springs
- Description:Alcantara's interior is dotted with refreshing freshwater springs that provide a cool escape and enhance the scenic landscape. These springs can be found in the mountainous areas of several barangays.
- Location: Camili, Calogonsao, Bonlao, San Isidro, and Madalag.
