Business Permits and Licensing

Our mission is to promote business and commerce in the municipality by providing efficient, integrity-driven, and timely processing of all business-related permits and licenses

Frontline Business Services

The following services are classified as Simple Transactions and are managed through the Office of the Municipal Mayor (BPLO).

1. Mayor’s Permit of Business (Newly Started)

This permit is issued to individuals who wish to conduct a new business in the municipality in accordance with existing laws, ordinances, rules, and regulations. The total processing time is 35 minutes.

Business Tax/Fees (Partial List) for Newly Started Businesses

Fees for newly started businesses often include a fixed tax amount plus PHP 60 for each employee/helper.

Process (35 Minutes)

  1. Submit Requirements (5 mins): Submit the complete requirements to the person responsible at the Office of the BPLO. The staff will receive the documents, perform initial assessment, and issue an Order of Payment (if complete).

  2. Pay Fees (10 mins): Receive the Order of Payment, proceed to the Municipal Treasurer’s Office, and pay the corresponding fees. Secure an Official Receipt (OR).

  3. Claim Permit (20 mins): Return to the Office of the BPLO, present the OR, and receive the Mayor’s Permit of Business.



2. Mayor’s Permit of Business (Renewal)

This permit allows individuals to continue conducting business operations in the municipality. The total processing time is 35 minutes.

Business Tax/Fees

Fees for renewal depend upon the gross sales declared by the owner for the preceding year.

Process (35 Minutes)

The process for renewal follows the same 3-step submission, payment, and release procedure as the Newly Started Business Permit, with a total processing time of 35 minutes.

 

3. Certification for Closure of Business

This certification is issued to confirm the closure of a business for legal purposes. The total processing time is 28 minutes.

Checklist of Requirements

  • Letter of Closure (1 Original Copy, 2 Photocopies) – Secure from the Business owner.

Fees

  • Certificate of Closure Fee: PHP 80.

  • Business Tax: Depends on the Gross Sales.

Process (28 Minutes)

  1. Submit Letter (3 mins): Submit the Letter of Closure to the Office of the Mayor. An Order of Payment will be issued.

  2. Pay Fees (10 mins): Proceed to the Municipal Treasurer’s Office to pay for the business tax and the certification fee.

  3. Claim Certification (10 mins): Return to the Office of the Mayor, present the OR, and receive the Certification for Closure of Business.
